Welcome to Dwight School New York. We are delighted that you have decided to embark on this journey to learn more about our community and hear our stories. A good place to start is by watching our video below.

Dwight was the first school in the U.S. to offer the comprehensive IB curriculum (Primary Years, Middle Years, and Diploma Programs) from preschool through grade twelve. It was also the first school in New York City to offer the preschool PYP. Widely known as the most challenging and respected pre-university course of study anywhere in the world, the IB is the only universal curriculum where students are graded according to international benchmarks.

Dwight graduates attend the most prestigious universities in the United States and around the world, including Harvard, Stanford, Dartmouth, Princeton, New York University, McGill University, the University of Edinburgh, and St. Andrews.

Dwight is a highly selective, college preparatory school with a strong commitment to developing globally-aware, compassionate, and motivated students who will contribute to our diverse school community. We seek dynamic, open-minded, and responsible students whose desire to learn is heightened by their engagement with peers and our dedicated faculty.

Dwight School is comprised of two campuses. The Early Childhood Division (2s, 3s, 4s & K) is located on our Riverside Campus (144 Riverside Boulevard). The lower, middle, and upper schools (grades 1-12) are located on our Central Park West Campus (291 Central Park West).
A campus visit is the best way to learn more about our academic programs, to meet current students and faculty, and to have your questions answered by our admissions team. We also invite you to sign up for one of our open houses, which occur throughout the admissions season. For more information, please do not hesitate to contact our admissions staff at 212.724.7524 (grades 1-12) or 212.362.2350 (2s-K) during business hours, Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm.

We look forward to getting to know your family.

    Warm Regards,

    Martha Hirschman, Chair of Admissions
Nora Thomson, Director of Admissions, ECD
