Preschool (Young 2s, 2s, 3s, Pre-k) Application Process

While the 2023-24 application deadline has passed, the admissions office will consider a limited number of late applications. Inquiries for the 2023-24 school year should contact preschooladmissions@dwight.edu

The application for the 2024-25 academic year will open via Ravenna on September 1, 2023.

Submit Online Application

Please create an account and apply online through Ravenna, our admissions database. Please note the 2023-24 application deadline of December 1 for applicants to grades Pre-K (4s) through grade 12 and January 15, 2023 for applicants to the Preschool 2s and 3s. Inquiries for the 2023-24 school year should contact preschooladmissions@dwight.edu

All Preschool 2s, 3s, and Pre-K applicant families have the opportunity to select our Riverside Campus (144 Riverside Boulevard at 67th Street) or 94th Street Campus as their preference upon applying.

Attend an Admissions Event

A variety of admissions events are held throughout the year; these optional events allow you to learn more about our programs and meet members of our Dwight community. Certain events are open to applicants only; please visit our Admissions Events page for more information.

Schedule Parent Interview

Once you have submitted an application, you will be able to schedule your parent interview via Ravenna. Ideally, the parent interview should take place after you have attended a virtual open house. Both in-person and virtual options are available; interviews are approximately 45 minutes in length. Interviews are reserved for adults; we look forward to meeting your children during the applicant playgroup.

Schedule Applicant Playgroup

Once you have submitted an application, you will be able to schedule your child’s playgroup visit via Ravenna. Any adult with whom your child is comfortable can accompany them to their playgroup visit. Playgroups are 30 minutes in length for 2s and 3s applicants, and 45 minutes in length for Pre-K applicants. Please note that regardless of the campus to which they are applying, applicants can attend a playgroup on either the Riverside or 94th Street campus.

Submit ISAAGNY Confidential School Report

3s & Pre-K (4s) applicants who are currently enrolled in a fully separated preschool program must submit the confidential Independent School Admissions Association of Greater New York (ISAAGNY) school report. This report is to be given to your child's current school and must be submitted directly from their school to ours. If your child presently attends an ISAAGNY school, they can supply you with the form. It can also be downloaded from this page.

Please note: Applicant family is responsible for confirming application is complete. The Admissions Office will not review incomplete applications.
