Parking: Street parking is in short supply. The street on Packer's side is not available for parking during weekdays. Parking across the street is by meter. Public parking lots are located on Livingston Street (between Court St. and Boerum Place) and at the Morgan Stanley Building (Pierrepont Street and Cadman Plaza West).
Packer is located at 170 Joralemon Street, between Court and Clinton Streets in Brooklyn Heights, at the edge of downtown Brooklyn.

|  | Neil BrierGrades 6-12 Activities and Community Service Coordinator, Social Studies Teacher, Boys Middle School 212.724.6360 ext. 227 Neil Brier joined Dwight in the spring of 2005. He moved to New York in 2002 after twenty-two years at the Cardigan Mountain School in Canaan, NH. He has traveled and studied in several countries including England, Equator, Finland Haiti, Mexico and Israel. At Dwight, he serves as the CAS Coordinator and oversees the community service and extra curricular activities programs for grades 6-12. Mr. Brier teaches grades 7 & 8 American History, and is an adviser to the Dwight chapter of the National Honor Society. He also coaches the boys 7th & 8th grade soccer team, coaches the spring lacrosse skills activity and supervises the grades 6 & 7 lunch periods. In addition to his Dwight responsibilities, Mr. Brier serves as co-chair of the Youth Committee on Brooklyn Community Board 14 and is an "Elite" level reviewer on Yelp.com. |
 Peter DurningChemistry Teacher, Varsity Cross Country Coach 212.724.6360 ext. 360 Peter Durning has been at the Dwight School teaching both Diploma Program and Middle Years Program Chemistry since 2007. Prior to his arrival at Dwight, he taught math and chemistry at a small private school in Boston. Peter graduated from Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine with a concentration in Classics and Archaeology and a minor in Chemistry. Outside of the classroom, he is an assistant coach of the Dwight Cross Country team and an enthusiastic member of the Dwight Faculty Band. |
 Megan MillerSocial Studies Teacher, Girls Middle School Volleyball Coach 212.724.6360 ext. 342 Megan Miller received her bachelor's degree in history and French from Wellesley College and her master's degree in world history from Northeastern University. She taught for several years in Boston and worked as an Alumnae Admissions Representative for Wellesley College before moving to New York. She enjoys traveling with her family and has lived in Quebec, Strasbourg, and Geneva. Ms. Miller is also the girl's varsity tennis coach. |
 Aaron SandScience Teacher, JV Soccer Coach 212.724.6360 ext. 319 Aaron Sand is from Lincoln, Nebraska, and is a loyal Cornhuskers football fan. He studied philosophy and biochemistry at the University of Nebraska. He also spent some time studying medicine at The Case Western Reserve University Medical School before teaching high school science. Mr. Sand received his Master's of Science Education from City College and has been teaching since 2007. He is also an active painter and radio producer. |
 Matthew LewisAthletic Director; Boys Varsity Basketball Coach 212.724.6360 ext. 226 Born in Accra, Ghana and raised in Washington D.C., Matt Lewis graduated from St. Albans School for Boys and went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in American Studies from Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts. He played Varsity Basketball for four years at Tufts and started as a freshman on the Tufts University 1982 E.C.A.C. Basketball Champions. He has been teaching and coaching for the past eighteen years. His most recent position was the Director of The Children’s Aid Society’s Community School Basketball Initiative where he organized and managed developmental youth basketball leagues, clinics, and tournaments for over 1,000 disadvantaged youths in Washington Heights, Harlem, and the Bronx. He is married and lives in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. |
 Filiz Ozak-SevilPE Chair, Girls Varsity Volleyball Coach, Middle School Tennis Coach 212-724-6360 A native of Turkey, Filiz received a bachelor's degree from Middle East Technical University in Physical Education and Sports and a master's degree from City University of New York (CUNY) in Sports Management. While in Turkey, Filiz played professional volleyball and was on the National Junior Volleyball Team. She began her teaching career in 1996 in Koc High School in Turkey and moved to New York in 2000. She continued her teaching career at Marymount School until 2002, where she coached volleyball, swimming and track and field. Filiz has been teaching and coaching at Dwight since 2002. |
 Jason CoySocial Studies Teacher; PE Teacher; Boys Varsity Soccer and Baseball Coach 212.724.6360 ext. 310 Jason Coy started his teaching and coaching career in Savannah, GA where he worked as a paraprofessional and boys varsity soccer coach at Groves High School in Garden City, GA. A native of Central Kentucky, he graduated from Georgetown College with a degree in Commerce, Language and Culture emphasizing in Spanish. While at Georgetown, he was part of two National Championship football teams in 2000 and 2001. Jason has been at Dwight since 2009. |
 Heidi HappPE Teacher, Girls JV Volleyball Coach, EAL Teacher 212.724.6360 ext. 341 Heidi Happ holds a master´s degree in Sports Science, Pedagogy and Child Psychiatry from Heidelberg University and a postgraduate certificate of education from Brunel University College London, UK. Prior to moving to New York City with her husband and their three children she lived in Russia, Scotland and England. Most recently she taught at The German School in London. |
 Michael HorvathPE Teacher, Boys JV Basketball Coach 212.724.6360 ext. 226 Michael grew up in Old Greenwich, Connecticut where he began playing an array of sports at a young age. At Brunswick School, a private school in Greenwich , Connecticut, he excelled in ice hockey, football and baseball. After graduation, Michael attended Lehigh University where he played for the varsity football team and was a member of Chi Psi Fraternity. Michael’s love of sports originally led him to a sports marketing firm, which afforded him the opportunity to travel to over forty-five states coordinating sporting events for various clients. However, after a few years Michael’s strong desire to teach, combined with the fact that athletics has played such an important role in his life, led him to pursue a career in physical education. Michael recently graduated from Teachers College, Columbia University with his Masters in Teaching Physical Education. He will play an integral role as part of the Dwight faculty as a physical education, health teacher and coach. His passions include ice hockey, softball, biking, football, skiing and many other outdoor adventures. In addition, he also enjoys spending time with his family and friends, as well as, traveling and sampling exotic foods. |
 Frances WilsonPE/Health Teacher, Girls Varsity Tennis Coach 212.724.6360 ext. 224 Frances was born in Atlanta, Georgia but raised all over the world. As a young girl she was privileged to spend her first 13 years living in Asia. She attended International Schools in South Korea, Singapore, and Thailand. Returning to the United States in the late 90s, Frances attended high school in New Canaan, Connecticut. After graduation she set off to The University of South Carolina. As a member of the Delta Delta Delta sorority at South Carolina, Frances was active in intramurals, campus activities, and raising money for the sorority’s philanthropy. Frances’ love for fitness, sports, and children lead her to graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education in 2006. Frances joined the Dwight community in 2007 as a physical education, health teacher, and coach. Frances also pursued her Master's degree in Curriculum and Teaching in Physical Education at Columbia University's Teachers College and graduated in 2011. Her passions include fitness activities such as spinning, running, and strength training. She also enjoys lifetime activities such as tennis, golf, and hiking. Beyond fitness and athletics, Frances enjoys reading, painting, and spending time with her family and friends. |
