What are the days and times of the 2008-2009 Woodside Programs?

How many places are generally open each year?
Fifty children and parents are accepted into the Small Wonder Program (toddlers to age two). Approximately fifty students enter into the morning 2's, and approximately thirty students enter into the afternoon 2's Program each year. Availablility in the 3's and 4's Program varies year to year. For the 2008-2009 school year there will be approximately 10-15 available spots in the 3's and 4's Programs.

When is the application deadline?
Woodside Preschool offers rolling admissions. However, in order to be considered for the first round of review, the Admissions Office should receive application materials by December 4, 2007. Although we will accept applications after this date, we cannot guarantee that they will be considered in the first round. We begin receiving applications the day after Labor Day of the year preceding enrollment.

Are letters of recommendation required?
No. The only requirement is that you fill out and submit an application with the $50 non-refundable application fee.

Are Open Houses required?
Open Houses are not required but they are suggested as an excellent way to find out more about our school. There are several Open Houses scheduled in October and November. Please check our main Admissions page for the most up-to-date list of available dates. Spaces are limited, so we recommend that you sign up early.

What is the birthday cut-off for each of the Programs?
To enter the 2's Program for the 2008-2009 school year, students must be 2 years old prior to September 1, 2008.
To enter the 3's Program for the 2008-2009 school year, students must be 3 years old prior to September 1, 2008. To enter the 4's Program for the 2008-2009 school year, students must be 4 years old prior to September 1, 2008. Occasional exceptions are made at the discretion of the Admissions Committee. -
How do I arrange an interview at Woodside?
An application must be submitted by the application deadline of December 4, 2007 to be considered for an interview. A parent interview will be extended to 2's applicants, a playgroup to 3's applicants, and a classroom visit to 4's applicants. There will be an opportunity for parents to speak with members of the Admissions Committee during the playgroups and classroom visits.

Which entrance do I use for Open Houses and interviews?
The entrance is located on 67th Street between Riverside Boulevard and Freedom Place.
