Welcome to Dwight's Middle School!

Welcome to Dwight's Middle School! I am really looking forward to supporting your child throughout their Middle School journey. 

As the Head of this division, I hope to be a helpful resource for you. My door is always open and I look forward to working together to ensure your child excels both inside and outside of the classroom. Dwight is truly an outstanding school, and I am honored and excited that you have chosen to entrust us with your child's education. Throughout my years at Dwight, I continue to be impressed by the academic, social, and emotional growth each student experiences throughout the year. Students at Dwight are consistently collaborating with one another, listening and sharing multiple perspectives, taking academic risks, solving complex problems, and using deep critical thinking as they develop into responsible global citizens. 

I look forward to celebrating your child's achievements during the 2024-25 school year and getting to know you and your family.

Summer Assignments

As summer kicks off, we’d like to remind you that summer assignments are posted on our website.

Summer Assignments

Please note that rising grades 5-8 summer reading assignments are grade-wide, while rising grades 6-8 summer math assignments differ per the course a student is enrolled in. Rising grades 7 and 8 students and parents may follow the directions here to check which courses a student is enrolled in for the 2024-25 school year in MyDwight. Rising grade 6 students and parents may contact Daniel Bjelis, Head of Mathematics, if there are any questions about what math course a student is enrolled in.

Health Documentation Requirements

We are delighted to have the opportunity to work with you and your child throughout their time at Dwight. It's essential to familiarize you with the required health documentation mandated by The New York State Department of Health and Board of Education for school entrance and attendance compliance.
