Preschool (2s, 3s, Pre-k) Application Process
As our first round of admissions for the 2021-22 academic year has passed, we are currently accepting applications in select grades according to availability. Check our Virtual Admissions Events page for recordings of open houses and upcoming spring admissions events, parent seminars, and more.
Submit Online Application
Please create an account and apply online through Ravenna, our admissions database. For all 2021-22 preschool and pre-k applicants the deadline is January 15, 2021. Please note that the deadline for grades k-12 is December 1, 2020.
Attend an Open House
2s and 3s Program
Families interested in the preschool program are invited to attend a virtual open house, which includes an informational session, virtual tour, and Q&A with the Preschool administration and admissions team. Families are welcome to attend an open house prior to submitting an application for admission. Please visit our Virtual Admissions Events page for more information.
Families interested in the Pre-K (4s) program should plan to attend a virtual Lower School Open House, where you will have the opportunity to meet our leadership and take a virtual tour with the Admissions team. Please visit our Virtual Admissions Events page for more information.
Schedule Parent Interview
Once you have submitted an application, you will be able to schedule your parent interview via Ravenna. The parent interview should take place after you have attended a virtual open house. Parent interviews are held via Zoom and are approximately 45 minutes in length. While your child is welcome to say hello, s/he is not expected to participate in this meeting.
Submit Supplemental Videos
In lieu of an applicant playgroup visit, in early 2021 families will be asked to submit casual video clips of your child at play, i.e., looking at a book, showing off a favorite toy, playing with a friend, or singing and dancing to a favorite song. These brief, informal videos give the admissions committee a glimpse of your child's personality. Additional instructions regarding this requirement will be emailed to applicants later this season.
Submit ISAAGNY Confidential School Report
3s & Pre-K (4s) applicants who are currently enrolled in a fully separated preschool program must submit the confidential Independent School Admissions Association of Greater New York (ISAAGNY) school report. This report is to be given to your child's current school and must be submitted directly from their school to ours. If your child presently attends an ISAAGNY school, they can supply you with the form. It can also be downloaded from this page.
Please note: Applicant family is responsible for confirming application is complete. The Admissions Office will not review incomplete applications.
