The transcript release form and teacher recommendation forms should be submitted to the candidate’s present school. The teacher recommendation forms must come from both the student's math and English/Native tongue teachers and should be completed after December 1 to ensure an accurate assessment of the student’s performance. If the transcript and teacher recommendation forms are not completed in English, an official translation must also be sent. The forms can be downloaded from this page.
Dwight School requires that applicants to Grades 6 -12 take either the ISEE or the SSAT test. Students are evaluated on their quantitative, math, reading, and verbal skills. To schedule a test date, visit the ERB website or the SSAT website as soon as possible. Please keep in mind that test scores are just one of the factors that go into Dwight's decision-making process.
We strongly recommend that testing be completed between the months of October and December. Testing must be completed by January 10, 2019.
Please ensure that Dwight School is listed as a recipient. Our school code for the ISEE is 333605. For the SSAT, our code is 2930. If you have any questions about receiving a fee waiver to help with testing costs, please contact us at (212) 724-6360
Please note, international families relocating to New York from overseas are exempt from taking standardized testing. In place of these tests, the Dwight Admissions Department will coordinate administering individualized language and math assessments.
Please note: Applicant family is responsible for confirming application is complete. The Admissions Office will not review incomplete applications.
