Upper School

Since our admissions season for the 2021-22 academic year has closed, we are currently accepting applications in select grades based on availability. Please contact upperschooladmissions@dwight.edu to submit an inquiry or find out more about a specific grade’s current openings. Dwight’s Upper School open houses will resume again in the fall.

Submit Online Application

The application for the 2022-23 season will open and be available on September 1st, 2022. To submit a 2021-22 application for grade 9-12, please create an account and apply online through Ravenna by using a bypass code. Please note, until the application opens again for the next season, you will need to contact upperschooladmissions@dwight.edu to receive the bypass code.

Attend a Virtual Open House

We are happy to share a recording of our fall 2021 Open House.  Please reach out to upperschooladmissions@dwight.edu to receive this link. Otherwise, Upper School Open Houses and Webinars will resume again in the Fall.

Tours

Please check back in August to find out more about our updated tour protocols and schedule.

Schedule a Virtual Family Conversation and Student Interview

Every applicant for upper school is required to schedule a student interview and an informal family conversation with an upper school admissions director. These appointments continue to take place over Zoom. This is an opportunity for students and parents to ask questions and learn more about Dwight’s curriculum and programs.

Additionally, applicants interested in our learning support program, Quest, will be required to schedule a virtual assessment with a Quest faculty member in the fall.

Submit Official Transcript and Confidential Teacher Recommendations

The transcript release form and teacher recommendation forms should be submitted to the applicant’s present school. The teacher recommendation forms must come from both the student's math and English/Native tongue teachers and should be completed after December 1st to ensure an accurate assessment of the student’s performance. If the transcript and teacher recommendation forms are not completed in English, an official translation must also be sent. The forms can be downloaded from this page.

Testing

Dwight’s Test optional policy for the 2022-23 Admissions Season

We will continue to make ISEE/SSAT testing optional this fall. We will consider all applicants equally, whether or not they submit standardized test results.

For those applicants who decide to take either the ISEE or the SSAT test, please visit the ERB website or the SSAT website to schedule a test date.

If you want to submit your scores, please ensure that Dwight School is listed as a recipient. Our school code for the ISEE is 333605. For the SSAT, our code is 2930.

Optional: Submit ISAAGNY Common Applicant Essay or Graded Writing Sample

Applicants to Upper School have the option of submitting the ISAAGNY Common Upper School Applicant essay, but it is not mandatory. Applicants will be able to download the ISAAGNY essay form once they submit their applications in Ravenna.

International Families

If you are an international family, please visit our International Families page for further information.

Please note: Applicant families are responsible for confirming that the application is complete. The Admissions Office will not review incomplete applications.
