Advanced Placement is an internationally recognized College Board program designed to provide high school students with college-level experience.l 

The academic standards and guidelines for AP courses and exams are developed and maintained by committees of university professors and highly experienced AP teachers. 

Students in these courses may  take an end-of-year examination to demonstrate their level of content and skill mastery for future study in college.

We strive to provide a robust and world-class education that prepares our students for success in college and beyond. Our AP Program allows students to dive deeper into subjects they are passionate about, gain college-level skills, and build an impressive academic resume.

According to the College Board, qualifying AP Exam scores earn university credit in nearly all universities in the United States and Canada. They are recognized in 60 other countries worldwide, and fulfill admission requirements in many universities in the UK and in Europe. 

Students may choose to take only one AP class or pursue a complete AP course of study, depending on their interests and goal. 

Dwight Global completes a thorough review process of our AP curriculum to receive College Board authorization and to ensure that our faculty can continue to teach AP classes.

Beginning in Grade 7, Dwight Global’s curriculum prepares students to collaborate with others, embrace new challenges, think critically and independently, apply their knowledge to the world around them, and develop a passion for learning. These essential skills prepare students for higher-level courses. 

As they move into Upper School, advanced students  in Grades 10-12 who have satisfied certain prerequisites may take Advanced Placement courses with departmental permission.
