Dwight Global embraces a flexible model that brings students together several times a year for just a few days to two or three weeks at a time. While students typically will travel to New York City, students will also travel to other Dwight Schools or other settings altogether. These programs provide students with an opportunity to participate in labs, “maker” activities, performances, and other activities that are best done in person. These visits on campus also provide opportunities for homestay, community building, and allow students to avail themselves of unique opportunities offered by Manhattan – the financial and cultural capital of the world.
Most significantly, the residential programs provide an opportunity to quickly make friends and form meaningful relationships with their fellow students in Dwight Global. While the online environment is ideal for maintaining friendships, engendering new friendships is much easier to do in person.
