Welcome to Dwight Global Student Life!

At Dwight Global we strive to build a community of students in our online environment, which incorporates respect and belonging, as well as provides a forum for students to express their needs, wants, and interests. Being a part of Dwight Global’s online student clubs and societies makes it incredibly simple to recognise each other's needs and make new life long friendships, while having fun and feeling valued.

Under the umbrella of student life, we provide:

• Advisory sessions 

• House activities 

• Clubs and Activities

Advisory Sessions: Each grade has its own advisory session. In these advisory sessions, alongside getting to know the members of your grade, we discuss world issues and elect a grade representative.

In order to ensure your success, we have goals for the year:

Goal 1: To help you reflect upon and monitor your academic progress through a formal conferencing structure.

Goal 2: To develop and maintain relationships between and among your grade level peers and adviser.

Goal 3: To help you identify and develop the necessary attitudes, behaviors, and skills to succeed in school, college, and life.

Goal 4: To provide you with the resources and information necessary to make thoughtful decisions about your future.

Goal 5: To provide you with the support needed to successfully complete your advisory projects. 

The House System: One of our favorite Dwight Global traditions is our Houses, which follows the British 300 year tradition of placing all students in one of four houses. The Houses work to earn House Points in order to win the annual house cup through participation in activities where groups of students compete against each other throughout the school year.

The House System is designed to embody the values of Dwight Global and is an integral part of our school community. The House System provides each student with:

• A sense of belonging within the school community

• Opportunities to develop social, intellectual, physical and practical skills

• A sense of achievement both inside and outside the classroom

• Fun and excitement through competition

• Opportunities for leadership

• An awareness of individual and collective responsibility

The four Houses are Blue, Green, Red and Yellow. You will be assigned to one of the four Houses when you enroll at Dwight Global, and you will remain in that House through high school graduation. Although the House colors stay the same year after year, the House names do not.  Each year, students choose a new name for their House. 

Clubs and Extracurricular Activities: At Dwight Global, we believe that school is not only confined to classes and academic development. We believe in the development of the whole child, inside and outside the academic learning environment. As part of this commitment, we offer a variety of clubs and extracurricular activities.

One important benefit of these clubs and activities is the building of solid relationships. Clubs and extracurricular activities develop students' working skills, in addition to interpersonal and communication skills.

If nothing else, you might even discover your inner "spark of genius", or at the very least, develop a passion for a new topic while trying a variety of our 33 clubs and activities.
