Dr. Julius Sachs, noted educator (and brother of Samuel, co-founder of Goldman Sachs), opens The Sachs Collegiate Institute on 32^nd Street and Broadway.

The Sachs School for Girls opens and readies graduates for top women's colleges.

The School for Boys moves to 38 West 59th Street; the School for Girls relocates to 116 West 59th Street.

At some point over these six years, the name changes to The Franklin School.

Franklin relocates for the last time to 18-20 West 89th Street.

Franklin becomes co-ed.

The brownstones at 17 and 19 West 88^th Street are converted for use by the school.

Franklin adopts the International Baccalaureate Curriculum and changes its name to the Anglo-American International School.

The New York School of Languages is founded at 15 West 43^rd Street as an academy of classical studies and readies graduates for prestigious universities.

The school changes its name to The Dwight School in honor of Timothy Dwight V, twelfth President of Yale, who partnered with the school to shift its focus to math and the sciences.

Dwight becomes part of The New York Preparatory School, founded in 1889 ― the largest prep school in the US.

Dwight relocates to 72 Park Avenue

Dwight moves to 402 East 67th Street.

Dwight becomes co-ed.

Dwight is the first independent school in the US to establish a permanent campus abroad ― today's Dwight School London.

Dwight merges with The Bentley School, founded in 1914.

The Dwight School Athletic Center opens at 2116 First Avenue, thanks to an innovative East Harlem community partnership. Dwight's Summer Camp opens the same year. Dwight in New York and London are selected from over 3,700 schools worldwide to pilot online education for the IB; Dwight NY later creates Dwight Global Online School. 

Dwight launches Spark Tank, an incubator to teach K-12 students entrepreneurial, innovation, and leadership skills beyond the classroom. 

Dwight becomes the first school in the US to be accredited by the World Federation of Sport. Dwight also opens the first American-based pre-K-12 school in Dubai.
