Upper School

Submit an Application

The application for the 2023-24 season will open and be available on September 1st, 2022. To apply, please create an account through Ravenna, our admissions database.

The application deadline is December 1, 2022. Supplementary materials, such as school transcripts and teacher recommendations are due by January 15th, 2023.

For more information about our upcoming in person or virtual events, please visit Admissions Events. For information about tuition and financial aid, please click here.

Schedule a Virtual Family Conversation and Student Interview

Every applicant for upper school is required to schedule a student interview and an informal family conversation with an upper school admissions director. These appointments will only take place over Zoom. This is an opportunity for students and parents to ask questions and learn more about Dwight’s curriculum and programs.

Additionally, applicants interested in our learning support program, Quest, will be required to schedule a virtual assessment with a Quest faculty member in the fall.

Submit Official Transcript and Confidential Teacher Recommendations and Student Interests and Activities Form

The transcript release form and teacher recommendation forms should be submitted to the applicant’s present school. The teacher recommendation forms must come from both the student's math and English/Native tongue teachers and should be completed after December 1st to ensure an accurate assessment of the student’s performance. If the transcript and teacher recommendation forms are not completed in English, an official translation must also be sent. All of the required forms can be downloaded from this page.

Testing

Dwight’s Test optional policy for the 2022-23 Admissions Season

We will continue to make ISEE/SSAT testing optional this fall. We will consider all applicants equally, whether or not they submit standardized test results.

For those applicants who decide to take either the ISEE or the SSAT test, please visit the ERB website or the SSAT website to schedule a test date.

If you want to submit your scores, please ensure that Dwight School is listed as a recipient. Our school code for the ISEE is 333605. For the SSAT, our code is 2930.

Optional: Submit ISAAGNY Common Applicant Essay or Graded Writing Sample

Applicants to Upper School have the option of submitting the ISAAGNY Common Upper School Applicant essay, but it is not mandatory. Applicants will be able to download the ISAAGNY essay form once they submit their applications in Ravenna.
