The 4B class invited Ms. Enriquez's ninth grade English class to visit their classroom to see how they "read in action." The students broke up into groups and the fourth grade students retold the novels they read in class with enthusiasm, shared reading strategies, and had the ninth grade students carry out some hands-on activities to deepen their reading. The fourth graders hope that their love of reading impacted the high school English class for the better! By the end of their visit, the ninth graders learned a lot from our fourth graders!
On a brisk fall day in the Big Apple, Yara Shahidi took time away from the sunny California set of the ABC comedy series, "Black-ish," to visit Dwight. Ms. Shahidi, who plays a high school junior on the hit TV show is a high school junior taking AP and honors courses through Dwight's Open World School program.

Last week in Ms. Hutton's IB Biology HL I class, the eleventh grade put on their lab coats, goggles, and gloves to experiment with macromolecules. The aim was to determine the presence of these macromolecules (lipids, proteins, and carbohydrates) in unknown solutions using a series of biological indicators. The class excitedly split up into small groups to conduct the experiment and gather research on the solutions!
