94th Street Welcomes Timothy House Home

From their daily classroom life, to fun festivals and celebrations, our Lower School Lions have fully settled into their new home at our 94th Street Campus

Initially opening in 2022 with our littlest preschool learners, kindergarten and grade 1 kicked off Timothy House’s move from our CPW Campus to 94th Street last year, with grades 2 through 4 joining them this year. Over the past few months, the light-filled buildings have become home to bright smiles; colorful Gus, the Dwight Lion; artwork; and lots of learning!

Celebrating Together

Fall is a festive time, and 94th Street Campus's sunny courtyard has become a popular gathering spot, offering a perfect backdrop for community events. Preschool and Lower School students, parents, faculty, and staff celebrated Hispanic and Latinx Heritage Month with a festival, and enjoyed traditional foods, clothing, and dancing. Mia Romero-Raborg ’26 and Lower School Spanish Teacher Angela Raborg shared their dancing sparks, performing for our little Lions.

The community came together again this November to learn about and celebrate Diwali — our Lions dove into the Festival of Lights with heartwarming stories, vibrant traditions and foods, and Diwali-themed activities in their classrooms.

Additionally, the 94th Street Campus hosted our annual Spirit Day festivities for the first time this year — Lions of all ages shared in some autumn fun together with a bouncy castle, face painting, balloon animals, yummy treats, and more. The sunny courtyard of our campus was the perfect place for our community to enjoy activities together amidst the changing leaves.

A Campus Designed for Our ECD and Lower School Pride

From its bright classrooms, full library, and fully equipped makerspace, our 94th Street Campus is a beautiful place for our young learners. As we prepared the space for the rest of Timothy House this year, we were thrilled to integrate a delightful gallery of art and decals featuring an updated design of our mascot, Gus the Lion!

Gus’s updated design is a proud product of Dwight’s global network. Originally commissioned by Dwight Dubai, Gus came from London-based artist Darren Lebeuf. After Hanoi School saw this new variation of our beloved mascot, they asked to have additional versions created for their new campus. Here in New York, we’re benefitting from all these new Gus poses, as we’ve repurposed them to enliven the halls of 94th Street.

We can’t wait to see our community continue to settle into and enjoy our newest campus location in New York. Stay tuned for more news as we go deeper into classrooms to catch the sparks happening there.
