Our Middle School Open House will be held on Tuesday, November 4. Students interested in applying to grades 5-8 and their parents/caregivers are invited to attend. We will host a panel discussion featuring students and teachers from Dwight’s Middle School. Immediately following, we will have an interactive fair in the Main Gym where families can meet and ask questions of numerous Dwight faculty, parents, and students.

Registration is required and can be accessed through Ravenna.

Register via Ravenna for a group student interview followed by a family tour, hosted on a weekly basis. This will be an approximately two-hour experience of our school. Applicants will be interviewed and then complete a collaborative project with other students. During this time, parents/guardians will meet with Dwight faculty and current parents and have an opportunity to ask questions. We will then reunite for a family tour of our Middle School.

Please note that grade 5 applicants will have individual family visits which will include a tour, as well as a student and parent interview, all in the same appointment. 

The transcript release form and teacher recommendation forms should be submitted to the candidate's present school. If the transcript and teacher recommendation forms are not completed in English, an official translation must also be provided.

Current fifth graders applying to sixth grade are required to submit one teacher recommendation from their fifth grade head teacher.

For students applying to seventh and eighth grades, two recommendations are required from separate teachers.

Dwight requires either the ISEE or SSAT for applicants to grades 6-8. Applicants to grade 5 will not be required to take the ISEE or SSAT, as we will give them our own assessment on the day of their interview. While testing/assessments are required at Dwight, we consider this to be just one of the many ways we get to know our applicants. Please submit testing to the Admission Office by January 15, 2025.

• For the ISEE test, your child’s testing is administered by the Educational Records Bureau (ERB) and should be arranged by contacting the ERB office through their website or by calling 800.446.0320 and listing our School as a recipient. Our school code is 333605. 
• For the SSAT, your child’s testing is administered by the Secondary School Admissions Bureau (SSATB) and should be arranged by visiting the SSAT site or by calling 609.683.5558 and listing our School as a recipient. Our school code is 2930.
• International applicants: ISEE or SSAT tests may be taken online or at a Prometric Center in your home country. If either option is not possible, please reach out to the Admissions Office and we can discuss alternative options.
