Preschool 2s, 3s, 4s, and Pre-K

Please create an account and apply online through Ravenna, our admissions database. Our application will open September 1.

Applicant families can indicate their preferred Early Childhood Division location; Riverside Campus (144 Riverside Boulevard at 67th Street) or our 94th Street Campus (705 Columbus Avenue).

Families enrolled in Small Wonder who are applying to the 2s program are eligible for early notification per ISAAGNY (Independent Schools Admissions Association of Greater New York), of which Dwight is a member school. Please note that applicants selecting Early Notification must complete their application process by Friday, November 22, 2024.

Register via Ravenna for an Open House to meet members of the Senior Leadership Team, current parents, learn more about our programs and tour the classrooms. Parents and guardians are welcome to attend an open house any time prior to submitting their application.

After you submit an application and attend an Open House, you may schedule your parent interview via Ravenna. Interviews are for parents and/or guardians only and are approximately 45 minutes long. Both in-person and virtual options are available.

Please schedule your child’s playgroup via Ravenna. Your child should be accompanied by any adult with whom they are comfortable.

Playgroups are 30 minutes long. 

All 3s and Pre-K (4s) applicants who are currently enrolled in a fully separated preschool program must submit the confidential Independent School Admissions Association of Greater New York (ISAAGNY) school report. This report will be given to your child's current school and must be submitted directly from their school to ours. If your child presently attends an ISAAGNY school, they can supply you with the form. It can also be downloaded here.
