ABC7 recently covered Dwight School’s Spark Tank 10th Anniversary event, highlighting our talented students and the many projects that have been inspired by our pioneering K-12 entrepreneurship incubator program.
Founded in 2015, Spark Tank was fueled by the belief that young people shouldn’t have to wait to realize the dream of starting their own enterprise. Students have since embarked on exciting journeys to develop projects of their own imagination. Oftentimes, our students develop projects inspired by their own passions, or to solve real-world problems. All learn how they can make an impact, and build a better world through entrepreneurship, innovation, and leadership.
During our 10th Anniversary celebration on February 19, 2025, students showcased their works at an exhibition, with projects ranging from a jewelry line, to robotic arms that assist workers in minimizing injury, and radio-wave absorbing cell phone cases, sold to benefit cancer charities.
Following the exhibition, a select group of students presented the following projects to a packed house and our Spark Tank Committee for feedback, mentorship, and innovation grants:
The Dwight Mighty Robotics team is a group of Middle School students who have created starter robots and obstacles to inspire and engage our youngest Dwight community members.
Cocoa To Go | Liam Kessler ’29 — A new and innovative way to enjoy portable hot chocolate
STEM Sprouts Academy | Saraya Dodhia ’28 (Franklin School) — Engaging STEM workshops for kindergarten through grade 3 students. Through carefully curated activities, videos, and hands-on experiments, the program aims to make STEM education accessible and exciting for young learners.
Green Vision | Jackson Shell ’26 and Zachary Lehr ’26 — Computer-assisted waste management, helping improve recycling rates and reduce waste

Connecting West to West | Mariam Diallo ’25 — An organization that provides school supplies to schools in West Africa and empowers students to take advantage of educational opportunities
